The Multinational Peacekeeping Exercise Ex Khaan Quest -2022 culminated.
Exercise “Ex Khaan Quest”
- Ex Khaan Quest is an annual Mongolian military Multinational Peacekeeping exercise held for two week in the summertime.
- The exercise conducted from 06 June to 20 June 2022 provided a platform for mutual learning and sharing best practices amongst the armies from 16 Nations, including India has commenced in Mongolia,
- A contingent from the LADAKH SCOUTS is representing India.
- It consists of a United Nations Peacekeeping Mission command post exercise, a UN PKO (PeaceKeeping Operation) Mission field training exercise, at the Mongolian Armed Forces‘ Five Hills Training Area
- Aim:
- Aimed at enhancing interoperability, building military to military relationships, developing peace support operations and military readiness among participating nations
Significance of the Exercise
- The military exercise will enhance the level of defense cooperation between Indian Army and participating countries especially with the Mongolian Armed Forces which will enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.
- This exercise will also enable sharing of best practices between the Armed Forces of participating nations and will include field training exercises, combat discussions, lectures and demonstration.
- Khaan Quest 22 will provide participants United Nations training and certification through realistic peace support operations and will enhance UN PKO interoperability and military relationships among the participating nations
